6-2 in calgary was an awesome score. they got a top line with two of the best young snipers in the league in kane and toewes. their second line has bifugly who is a super pest and goal scorer, while versteeg, in his sophomore year, is scoring at an impressive pace. on D, they have some of the most underated players in the league mixed in with one of the most overated players in the league. seabrook, barker and keith are all tough guys that are capable of shutting down the leagues best. if they are unable to shut them down with skill, they can do it through intimidation and toughness. brian campbell was once a superstar in the boston, and since signing with chicago has not put up great numbers. and he is being outplayed by teammates that are paid quarter his salaray, but in clutch moments it will always be useful to turn to campbell, afterall he played his best hockey with buffalo in theplayoffs. and lets not forget that chicago has not even had hossa play for them yet. once hes back they are going to be scoring at a crazy pace.

probably the best hit that i have seen so far this season. flames fans can thank mitchell for this one. hopefully the hawks captain will be out of the lineup for a while. the funniest part about the hit is watching bifugly on the bench afterwards. he really wants to be on the ice fighting mitchell. canucks not only injured toewes, but seabrook as well left the game (fuck i have him in my hockey pool).

A little procrastination, and a lot of bitching

I'm going with Chicago and Washington in the finals, cause that would be a fun series to watch and they're both good young teams. Washington will win of course because Hossa still needs to kill himself for losing in the stanley cup finals year after year. Too bad he cant lose to detroit or I'd have picked them to be in the finals. I'd say more but I need to get back to studying for my test tomorrow on SATURDAY. Predictions and ramblings

Chicago Blackhawks vs. philly in the finals.

the canucks will likely win the nw divisino. minnesota has already started the season very poorly. edmonton is bound to choke, there is no way that penner can keep his current pace which would have him having 41 goals this season. colorado is good but without sakic and no quality goaltending they will soon falter (anderson will choke!). and the flames look really good, but that meltdown in chicago is a sign that they are unable to play clutch games. chicago is a team that everyone knows is a real contendor, and considering that they are a team that the flames lost to in the first round of the playoffs last year, the flames should have done a better job at holding the lead. canucks will take the division.
